New Delhi — In an emotional nod to legacy and loyalty, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has declared that despite being behind the wheel of the cutting-edge XEV 9e electric SUV, his true affection remains with the Mahindra Bolero.
Mahindra made the remark during the launch of the 2025 Bolero and Bolero Neo models, revealing that while his daily drives may now include the company’s latest EV, when it comes to passion and preference, “the Bolero is the car I’d still choose to drive.” He described the Bolero as a “timeless, old-school road warrior,” invoking memories of long drives in rugged terrain and times when vehicles were defined by simplicity and durability.
The 2025 Bolero retains its defining silhouette but introduces a refreshed grille, redesigned fog lamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a new Stealth Black shade. Inside, enhancements include a 7-inch touchscreen, steering wheel controls, and updated leatherette upholstery.
Under the hood, the tried-and-tested mHAWK75 diesel engine continues, producing around 76 bhp and 210 Nm of torque, while the body-on-frame construction and Mahindra’s RideFlo Tech ensure a stable and comfortable ride.
The Bolero Neo, aimed at a newer generation of buyers, brings sharper design cues—16-inch alloys, dual-tone color options, and interior upgrades including a 9-inch infotainment system and improved seating ergonomics. It runs on the more powerful mHAWK100 engine generating 100 bhp and 260 Nm, complemented by Multi-Terrain Technology for enhanced grip.
Pricing for the 2025 lineup starts at ₹ 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Bolero variant and reaches up to ₹ 9.69 lakh for the top variant. The Bolero Neo series is priced between ₹ 8.49 lakh and ₹ 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
